Your intranet can work for your company in a way that improves efficiencies, communication, and day-to-day operations. All it takes is a little TLC.

• Avoid distractions within the relationship. Choose an intranet software that is focused and tailored to the features you will actually use for your business.
• Be open to feedback. A good relationship never stops growing. Encourage your employees to share their thoughts, frustrations, and ideas for improvement. The only way an intranet will work is if everyone on your teams uses it in the best way possible.
• Make it personal. All good relationships need a little fun. Add chat channels and threads to share family photos, funny news stories, or plan happy hours.
• Don’t overthink things. Overthinking is the root of all evil. Keep the intranet structure as intuitive and straightforward as possible for your employees.

As with any relationship, your intranet will only be as good as the effort you put into it. As your business grows, changes, and expands, especially during COVID-19, your intranet structure has to change as well.
